Shopping cart problems Sellerdeck 2016.02

Hi can anyone tell me why every time a customer goes to make a payment at the shopping cart (Cardsave) it says their order cannot be found? They then order again and I am constantly refunding people for multiple orders. It is driving me up the wall. I have updated with the newest updates for version 02 and I have contacted Sellerdeck support repeatedly to no avail. They suggested
Please can you go to 'Help | Troubleshooting' and under the 'Session Files' area click the button 'Purge Session Files' and click 'Ok' then 'Close'. Please also go to 'Web | Configure Expiry Periods' and then increase the value in the field (99 hours)'Delete Shopping Carts after' and click 'Ok' and upload the site.
But this hasn't worked either. I am at the end of my tether with this platform and Webzavi who have now take 8 long months to produce no improved website.
I have signed up to Worldpay in the hope this will sort out the checkout problem but they still haven't sent me some 'key' to put into the site.

A quick and easy way to help you would be to add PayPal to your payment options, at least temporarily.

You could contact PayPal business directly and then you have the choice of PayPal Express or PayPal Website Payments.

If you do that then we can help you with integrating it quickly.

Sarah, I have found that the most common cause of this is the site swapping between www and non-www pages.

You can fix this by uploading a .htaccess file with this content :

Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.mydomain\.co.uk$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mydomain.co.uk/$1 [L,R=301]
Replace "mydomain" with your domain name (and change .co.uk if necessary).

Or, if you have access to Google Webmaster Tools/Search Console, then you can specify a preference in there.

Or do both for a belt and braces approach.

Having said that, I too have gone through to checkout. It is all behind SSL and it didn't swap between www and non-www

Thank you ... and further comments Help!

Hi thank you everyone.. amazing instant response compared to Sellerdeck 'support' who just return all my emails without comment... wonder what I am paying for there.

I do have a paypal account already which I use on another website so is it simple to incorporate into my own site? I'm not tecchie at all so have to ask someone to come here and help or have step by step instructions and even then the website pops up asking something unexpected so I am nervous of 'tampering' with it.

I have signed up to Worldpay as they bought out Cardsave (which we have used for about 20 years but is apparently a bit 'dated' now) but I wonder if this is going to solve anything at the check out and also I already have a Sellerdeck 'Key' on my site but when I signed up I was told I needed to email customeramendments@worldpay.com to get a Sellerdeck installation key.. that was 2 weeks ago.

I was approached by Garry Butcher at Webzavi in October last year who relentlessly promises a new site (since last November) but we have got nowhere. He gave me this link but there is nothing much there so far on http://www.seozavi.co.uk/
I was hoping to improve the SEO by having a new site done but perhaps it is time to move away from Sellerdeck as I cannot find anyone who will re-do the site to sort out all these 'bugs', problems and general look of it. I have so many lovely pictures and could make it so much better if I could just get something that works better. Garry is supposed to be adding all sorts of extra features but has gone to earth... again. I have spoken to other people who have had their site done by him and they say he is slow to deliver but knows his stuff but this is getting beyond a joke.

I cannot see an order with this ID? Have you paid for a test order? I have two from a Mr Reynolds and a Mr Bishop
Order ID TT11TT10011105?? Perhaps you cancelled it?

Paul Barker of Greater Vision did some work on the site last year but he has now disappeared abroad. I thought the site was responsive but it turns out it isn't for tablets.

He said to add to my site which we did...

RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. RewriteRule ^(.*)$
https://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
It is there to ensure that anyone browsing the site who uses an
http page url will automatically be redirected to the correct https
page url. This is to keep Google Search Engine happy in that you
don’t have people browsing both http and https pages, and that you
don’t have http and https pages being found by Google Your site is
well linked with Google but we want to ensure that all is as it needs
to be

It was a test purchase so is probably in your PSP Pending tab.

To add PayPal to your existing site, go to Business Settings > Payment and Security.

Click the + on the top left of the dialog box and add PayPal Website Payments from the drop-down box. Then click Configure method and add your merchant ID that you have from your other site.

Alternatively, you can add PayPal Express payments which is by far the most popular of the PayPal offerings.

Here are the instructions to do this from PayPal:

"As you are using Actinic/SellerDeck, Express Checkout is already built into their system you just need to activate it which takes around 5 minutes.

Some of the new features in Express Checkout that are not available on your current product Payments Standard are:

· 3 click checkout for your customers

· Checkout is fully mobile device optimised even if your website is not

· Customers get re-directed to your website after the transaction is completed

· Leads to lower drop-off and higher sales conversion rates

Please find the instructions of how to activate ‘Express Checkout’ via Actinic/Sellerdeck

Choose 'Business Settings' from the SellerDeck 'Settings' menu.
Select the 'Payment and Security' tab, then click '+' next to Payment Method to add a new payment option.
Select 'PayPal Express Checkout' from the Payment Method drop-down, then click the 'Configure Method' button.

· Enter your PayPal API Signature Credentials settings which can be generated from the following link - https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/we...eric-flow=true Click 'OK', then 'OK' again.

You also need to enter the email address associated with your PayPal account into the ‘Business’ field.
Update your web site, and PayPal will now be available as a payment option for your customers. "

I'm presuming your site is www.westcountrylupins.co.uk
