To change where a user machine will look for the sync server in a Business Plus installation with multiple users, please follow these steps:-
Please note The Registry is a very dangerous place to be and can prevent your machine operating correctly, therefore follow the instructions below with care.
* The 'X' in the version number will be replaced by the version being used and will depend on the version of the SellerDeck software that you are using, so for example if you are using SellerDeck v11 then it would be “Catalog11”.
** The 'xxxx' shown in the paths here will be replaced by the version being used and will depend on the version of the SellerDeck software that you are using for example if you are using SellerDeck 2013 then the path would be: -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SellerDeck\2013\SyncServerURL
or: -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432\SellerDeck\2013\SyncServerURL
NOTE: From SellerDeck 2014 onwards the Synchronisation URL will be found in a text file called 'Config.ini' which can be found in: -
C:\ProgramData\SellerDeck 2014
or for later versions: -
C:\ProgramData\SellerDeck\SellerDeck xxxx
where 'xxxx' is the version number.
The IP address can be changed in the group: -
[Installation]
under the entry: -
SyncServerURL=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is the IP address.

- Go to “Start”
- In the “search” field just below all programs type “regedit”
- Click on regedit
- This will start the Registry Editor
- Expand “Computer”
- Then go the following location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actinic\CatalogX\SyncServerURL” *
In later versions of the software the path will have changed to: -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SellerDeck\xxxx\SyncServerURL **
Or for 64 bit machines: -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432\SellerDeck\xxxx\SyncServerURL **
- You will then just need to change the information in the data column in the “SyncServerURL” either to the new IP address or the computer name of the machine the sync server is on.
