    New Posts Icon

Why are the "New Posts" icons so slow to update on the Actinic Community page?

The "New Posts" icons within each of the forums update to "No new posts" immediately that you have read the thread.

    Just curious

It seems to take about 15 minutes before the display on the forums accurately reflects which forums have new posts or not.

No idea why - I find it quite irritating as well but there does not seem to be a setting on the system control panel for this.

      Have you changed something?

Unless I am just imagining things.

Starting today, the "New Posts" icons on the community page disappear before I have even visited the forum!

What I mean is. Refresh the community page and see that there are 2 forums with new posts. Visit forum A to see what's new, go back to the community page and there are no "New Posts" icons at all! (Scan date/time of last post in each forum to try and work out which was the other forum...)

I don't find this behaviour an improvement.

        Nope - I haven't changed anything.

Never mind then - it's not important.

I was probably just imagining it.

New Posts didn't work for me today either, I have noticed this happening beforeaswell.

I veiw the forum by using the new posts link.....so am missing quite a few threads..

again I thought it was me/my PC but it appears I am not the only one with this problemette

I have noticed that if you come into the fourms and look at a couple of posts and then close the forums without reading all of the new posts, when you come back all of the previous new posts seem to be marked as read whether they have been read or not. Maybe this is what is happening?
