    keep jpg in scale

I want to include a cut out tape measure on my site but have run into problems

If I scan it in as a A4 page with say five stripes of tape measure, when I print it out it expands to larger than it should be.

I need a way to ensure whatever printer they use the printout will remain at the correct scale

    Any idea's

You need to scale the image to the right size before converting to a PDF as it depends on what resolution you scan at and then the resolution of the document you are copying into - try creating temporary guidelines at say 1 inch intervals and then scaling the image to correspond to the increments (best to scan in a native lossless format first) and then save to PDF

Thanks for the suggestions you guys apreciated.

Are PDF files then fixed, what I mean is if someone downloads and uses american letter size paper and not A4 on thier printer, would it rescale the image size making it useless or just print missing off the bit outside the paper size?
