Count Order

This is probably a simple answer to a silly question but here goes! How do you guys count your orders? We used to count the packing lists at the end of the month but as we have got busier it takes much longer to count the lists. We run actinic 6.02 and the reports section tells you how many products have been ordered and the total funds made in a given period but it does not tell you how many separate orders have been processed.

Any ideas?

I do a query in excel that pulls the relevant order data for this year from the actinic database into the spreadsheet.

I then process the numbers with a macro to get the total value, number of orders, average value, etc for each month.

Wow olderscot, im impressed! Don't know how I would even go about doing a query in excel and than a macro, I can just about use actinic! If you have any tips or any suggestions they would be most appreciated.
