    International bank transfers

Does anyone know if there is any method in particular that is cheaper than your own bank to transfer money to another business outside the UK?
I am going to need to pay a company in Denmark (in Euros, obviously) and I seem to recall that there are companies who specialised in handling such transfers?
Does anyone know of any? I'm sure I used some such method when I paid Hong Kong last year but I can't remember the details now (too many baby-filled sleepless nigths making my brain fuzzy!)
I'd appreciate any help/advice you can share regarding international bank transfers.
    Cheers

      So do I usually!
Sadly though, the Danish company, who I want to pay, do not!!

          ahhh...thanks for that.
That's who I buy my online currency from! Wonder if that's who I used last time (must dig out Hong Kong paperwork!)
          Cheers

I use one of three methods depending on sum involved: pay from my Worldpay/Paypal accountsw; if about £1000, use credit card; or for £2000 relay transfer at £10 flat rate(NatWest bank) takes some beating and you get commercial Xchange rate. Above £2000 I use standard transfer. The "old" ways I used to use have all been dropped and I've yet to find a better solution (not helped by the fact that transfer between European banks is chargeable unlike between UK banks, so having a French (euro) account is not too much help.

LloydsTSB will do it for 5.50, only at the bank teller though. Economy Moneymover, I use it for 1.5k to Germany Sometimes. 5-7 days. Better rates than paypal.

Interesting, thanks Paul (Just did a google search for "international bank transfers" and it found my own post on here..LOL)

Do you know if you need to bank with Lloyds TSB to do this? How would I pay them if I don't? sorry, dim questions :-)
                Cheers

I would think you need an account, as it's gone up to 10 GBP for personal account holders.
