Using Actinic for Online and Highstreet Store

We were wondering if anyone had successfully integrated the use of Actinic for their Online Business but also for monitoring Stock/Orders in an Highstreet capacity.

We currently have two Disparate systems for both and although the online side is starting to dominate we still need the highstreet prescence, and the system used there is now creaking at the seams.

So instead of looking for another system, we were wondering if Actinic could be used as the Core of the system for Customer Management, Stock Monitoring and Ordering, and handle both jobs.

Anyone else had experience of this in anyway, shape or form???

We currently use Actinic Catalog v6.1.5 for the Online side and a bespoke product for the Highstreet store.

    Thanks in advance.

We were in exactly the same position a couple of months ago. We currently have 2 Actinic sites and a bespoke database system for the bricks and mortar shop but the shop system is on its last legs.

Ideally we wanted to stick with Actinic as we're happy with the way the sites work but after having looked at 3 different systems we've regrettably had to take the decision to move away from Actinic altogether. The new system we've ordered has one central database which controls all the stock and returns for the bricks and mortar shop as well as the stock for the website which means that stock levels are completely automated for the shop and website.

Take a look at Norcat though www.drillpine.biz/norcat/. This links Actinic with an EPOS system called Top2Toe which may do the job for you. It just wasn't quite right for us though.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Chris
