    Banning Browsing by Country?

    Hi

We have a guy in Bali who tries to order goods from our site a couple of times a week using other peoples credit card information from the States. We immediately just refund the money but it costs us £10 a time with Worldpay. Strange thing is all of his latest transactions have matching security codes and show no warnings from Worldpay.

Using the Worldpay screen we have banned most of his aliases, email addresses and a few of his IP's but he still keeps ordering. We have removed all of the Indonesian countries from the store and have today removed Australia, but he just picks another delivery country.

Is it possible to ban browsing of your site by country IP block or does anyone have any better ideas of how to handle this problem?

I guess if he just cloaks his IP this would not work anyway.

    Thanks

How about making a complaint to Chief of Police, Kapolda Bali, Jl W.R. Supratman No. 7, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Give as much detail as you can.

Perhaps just sending an email to one of the addresses you have gathered, promising to do so if he persists, will be enough.

You should be able to ban by ip range, although innocent shoppers could obviously be affected.

Alternatively have you considered putting all transactions on a pre-auth basis?

A bit more work, but at least you avoid charges for refunding fraudulent transactions

We did think about the pre auth route but we have loads of small transactions per day - between £5 and £20 so its a bit of a pain.

Is it possible with Actinic to have all of the tranactions under £50 go through Worldpay normally and split out the larger ones for pre auth?
        Thanks

I would go down the ban by IP route, and then unban after a period of time
