To redesign or not to redesign - that is the question?

I have been thinking about this (nothing to be worried about K) and why I thought brown and or beige would go well with white. I reckon its because of the leather smell (amongst others) that was always apparent when browsing a petshop. Just a thought.

And because I've never seen brown recommended before (ever) I thought I'd best try to explain where I was coming from.

When we first launched our site - those were almost the exact colours of our logo - though got to say not sure they are my favourite colours now!

Re-Design

Thanks to all of you for your comments. Time for more!!

We're in the process of re-designing and wondered if anyone had a min if they could look at:

Still quite a bit of work to do - the top right header image is being changed to fit properly and better hand drawings of cats/dogs. Not all links are working yet and the brochure pages haven't been updated properly and still waiting on some of the sub section images.............

.......but just thought I'd like to get some opinions before go too much further!

I'd agree with most comments given here. Though major redesign not really.

The format just needs to be in keeping with modern tastes.

Personally I'm put off by the obvious blockyness as has been mentioned as hobbyist.

Go for something like www.Johnlewis.com with clean type and some new photographs.
