    Customer Receipts

Having purchased several items over the internet to be delivered directly as gifts to the recipients I have noticed a trend in me not receiving a paper invoice or credit card slip receipt.

I always send a paper receipt. Just wondered what you folks do?

We do to, to the buyers address. Only time we don't is when its obvious its going to their work, then we just add it along with the goods.

I'd reckon it was kind of expected to get a receipt of some kind...

We always send a paper receipt to the invoice address if the delivery address is different.

We only send a paper receipt if specifically asked for, the customer already has emails, very few need another bit of mail.

Always send a paper receipt with the order.

Payment is via Worldpay, so they cover that side

We send a checked off packing list with the goods, figure the email advices from Actinic & Protx are sufficient unless the customer is a business and wants a specific VAT Invoice.

We email the invoice along with the 'order shipped' or license key emails, then we post the invoice out separately, and we still quite regularly get requests for additional copies of the VAT invoice. I figure that the bit of paper is a good reminder of who we are, probably easier to find again than an email.
