It is a beta issue and work continues
    This
work fixes a remaining issue in CSS1 to bring full compliance with that
recommendation and also has key improvements in CSS2.1 support along with
additional support for selectors and fixed positioning.
We are not expecting to reach full CSS2.1 support in this release although
we are committed to getting there in a future release. No browser today
supports full CSS2.1 and the goal of the IE team in IE7 was to alleviate the
key pain points felt by web designers today giving them a robust set of
    functionality on which to rely.

Yes, I recently found a link to the msdn blog which suggested they are looking into min/max height/width.
