    Anyone recognise this?

I have just purchased a new engraving disc for my machine and need to show the font on the site.

Does anyone know what font this is or even something similar?

I have been through all my fonts in Word to no avail

    Any help appreciated

    Kind regards

    Jason

You might find something similar here but it'll take you a while to look through them all, since they're done alphabetically and not by style!

This is very similar, although not identical to the Rockwell font.
Being an obscure font there's not much point in using it with text on the web as it will be very unlikely that anyone else would have it.
You could maybe photo examples of an engraved article instead.

You can embed fonts in an HTML page to make it available to everyone. Microsoft has a (clumsy and hard to use) tool (WEFT) on http://www.microsoft.com/typography/...bedding/weft3/

For an example of a WEFT page see http://www.microsoft.com/typography/...os/3/demo3.htm where what looks like a big picture is in fact a simple table with special characters in each cell.

Another option would be to capture the fonts as a GIF and display as an image

If you're lucky, Fontsmack might have something similar to what you need. It uses sIFR, which works by overlaying a small Flash file ontop of your text, meaning users don't have to have the font insalled.

This looks a bit like Courier to me. I know its not, as there are obvious differences in the serifs, but there is a similarity.

My favourite place for font browsing is the Linotype font shop.

Many thanks for all your replies.

I have decided to take photo's of each character and dispaly them as pictures. This way I shouldn't have any problems with clients moaning about a missing or extra serif.
