I made a mistake in getting a HP system

The hardware is fine but I object to all the software pre-stored on the hard drive so I have to make disk backups of all the software incase I need to reformat or have a new hard drive etc

In future will only buy from a company who supply copy's of all the installed software in disk format

Feel free to list ideal systems for the 7day a week `Actincer` if you know of any...

Take half an hour out and build your own, your specs, your components, your faults.

Went with the Dell which has just arrived

Only niggle was installing the monitor to be told the current desktop resolution (from the old monitor) was not supported but no way to actually change the setting ... so had to lug the half-hundred weight CRT back into place to set the resolution before it was happy

Other than that first impressions are very good.... especially the height adjustable stand so no more piles of Encyclopedia Britannia to bring it up to eye level

Just unpacked my DELL 32" widescreen and it is fantastic. V8 looks great on it

We got a Dell Ultrasharp monitor added to our armoury here last week, maybe I'm too old school but I think I still prefer the `real` colours of my current crt.

Got a new cinema sound set-up for the spare (ie: yet to be used as Multi-User has not been purchased yet) store pc.

My `main` one at work does not have speakers attached.
