    Google analytics ecommerce code....

    Hello,

I am being driven to desperation trying to get Google analytics ecommerce code to work on my website. I've read all the threads, tried all the code and...nothing.

Would anybody like to quote me for putting the code in the right place and getting the thing to work?

Whats the url of the site? If it is http://www.gentlemans-shop.com the script is already in place and it takes Google a day to "approve" it.

The full functionality of the Google Analytics Ecommerce statistics is unobtainable. Why I don't know. Why Actinic don't admit it instead of referring people to old threads that mislead and offer false hope I don't know either.

Hi Nigel, Sorry but don't you think that Google problem, Not Actinic. I think it would be hard for Actinic Support to learn every 3rd party plugin that a client want. I am currently trying to implement this into a customer site, and getting some problem. However the problem seems to be with google, especially on SSL side of it. However looking at the following thread: http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=21722, seems to have answered my question

It all about searching this forum

I suggest before you leap to conclusions that you have found the Holy Grail you should note that the poor chap who instigated this thread is the same gentleman who ended the thread to which you allude.

There is nothing in any existing thread that will lead to the successful implementation of Google Analytics Ecommerce Statistics. My jibe at Actinic is that they won't formally confirm the fact and thereby prevent people wasting their valuable time.

Hey Nigel, Don't worry I will not be jumping up and down. But Owen Drumm has pointed out that it does take time, so I will wait for that. Anyway the instructions to carry out in SSL, is in Google own home page, nothing to do with Actinic.

Here is the link to google help page

To be honest I don't think Actinic has tested this 3rd party plugin, they look like they are busy with v8, so would have thought that the support people are helping out by reading the google homepage. I think that why Actinic has partners like Norman and Jan, they create plugin to extend Actinic.

Okay to get this topic back online , Robert, have you seen Owen thread,

Can you check what he has said please, and see if Google has approved it, if they haven't then you may need to wait a bit. (remind me of the froogle feed issue, took ages for Google to sort that out for me)

i can do it, but in a messy way

i turn to actinic community to find a clue to integrate google analytics ecommerce code with actinic, but i am disappointed.

someone says it's google analytics' fault. i can't take it.

i would rather say everything is possible, but the point is how to do it. would it be better to make actinic fit for analytics rather than the adverse? i think there are at least 2 methods to make actinic fit:
              1. modify perl script and generate google analytics ecommerce code at server side. unfortunately, i know nothing about perl and hate perl and don't like actinic in this repect.
              2. generate google analytics ecommerce code at client side. i'm sure i can do it, and i will finish coding by tomorrow. but as i have said in the title, my codes break the templates and make everyting in a mess. nevertheless, google analytics will get data from my site.
