Act2pdf Multi site

I was able to find some free time and upgrade the Act2pdf application. This now produces a choice of pdf layouts from as many site folders as you care to point it at.

The choices are a 200 x 200 image with up to 450 characters of full description, a 100 x 100 image with up to 250 characters of full description, a 50 x 50 image with no description, and no image/no description. Samples of the first three are shown on my site.

Available in the Utility Software section of Egyptian Wonders.

hi, this is more like it, any chance of adding on a custom property.
We sell in weight and it would be good if we could include one of our custom propertys.

Small Thumbnail | Short Description | Custom Property | Price

or without a thumbnail.


Does the programme list products in sections or does it take all products and put them in one long list.

Sections would be good.

You must have spent some time on this which is very good of you.

Custom properties are more difficult as it involves bringing in two more Actinic tables and setting the relationships.

I would be prepared to do that now as a custom (i.e. paid) modification, or much later if a standard maintenance progression.

The use of section headers is the next scheduled modification, which will be in the next two weeks as time permits.

Good luck with this Bill. The amount you have helped others will surely tempt a guilt trip purchase or two



An idea, although it may be difficult/impossible/not worthwhile would be a trial version, similar to what Jan does but maybe limited to say, one section, or five catalog pages or something? So users can see how their catalog would reproduce. As I said, just an idea.

I need to move to a windows server to make proper use of the application update features (where the application flags that a newer version is available and the user has the option to upgrade or not). As I am working out the specifics of making that move, I am less responsive than normal.

I do appreciate the thought, though - and in fact, reading your post just gave me a solution to how to apply a limit - I will produce a 20 item free version - enough to show how it works, but not enough to be really useful.

I hope no-one buys because of a misguided sense of guilt - I would prefer to make applications that stand on their own merits
