    Anyone heard of Neptune Webhosting?

Just been offered what seems a great deal from an outfit called Neptune Webhosting; £20.00/year for unlimited space, bandwidth, SQL Databases, email addresses, etc.etc.etc. Unlimited everything it seems. Too good to be true?
We're currently with 1and1 and pay £8.99/month for the Linux business package which limits us to 2 databases, 3 domains etc. Anyone using them or had any experience?
BTW the £20.00 claims to be for the life of the site!
Should have mentioned; their site has advertising pop-ups which is a bit of a turn-off.

Are these going to be on your site if you went with their hosting? if so stay well clear if it is a commercial site you want to host with them as it can come over as a hobby site with annoying random pop-ups

Good point Jonty, haven't gone into it that deeply but this maybe why it's so cheap.

Too good to be true - advertsiing pop-ups says it all!

You get what you pay for - 1and1 are very reasonably priced and seem to work fine for Actinic. I don't think that saving £100 or so a year on a commercial site in exchange for someone elses ads in popups is the way to go.

The standard Business package gives you 700 email addresses and 100 domains and 2xMySQL. If you need more then why not upgrade your package with 1and1 to Bus Pro or Professional? Sure it costs more but you're entrusting your business hosting to them.

We were on an old version of Linux Business with 1and1 until today, when we realised we could get an extra MySQL database and some other stuff simply by "upgrading" to the same package. As a consequence we have just started a new 12 month contract so aren't really considering the change.
We were just curious as to why Neptune were so cheap - think we have the answer now. Thx

At £20.00pa may be of use for testing purposes, extra storage etc rather than eating bandwidth on your own main site or risk killing the main site if you want to try out a new bit of code / template hack etc

At prices like this they will be also be throttling your bandwidth usage.

As Jonty says ok for testing purposes but no good with pop ups for a commercial site, even at £20 pa do you want to pay them to run adverts on your site
