    Hackersafe Anyone?

Anyone use/seen or have any experience of Hackersafe?

    http://www.hackersafe.com/

I have noticed quite a few people in the same business as us now subscribing (most in the USA).

It costs about £1000 for 2 IP scans.
    Thanks

I haven't used it but there is quite a bit of data floating around. See https://www.scanalert.com/Content.sa?hspp=1 for an example.

Whether it's worth it would presumably depend on how sensitive to security you think your customers are. Actinic encrypts all orders on the server already and if you're using a PSP then you don't have the Credit Card data anyway.

For most small consumer businesses I doubt if it's worth spending £1,000 a year on. The biggest risk factor is still the poor security in the shop/office rather than the server.

I guess if they make enough hype about it people would start looking for it on the shop front. As you say with Actinic it is not really an issue I think it more for the SQL PHP brigade storing names / numbers on the server.

I thought I would ask as their sales guy called me yesterday and ran through the demo.
      Thanks
