    disk space

Does anyone know of a good tool for showing where disk space is being used.

My c drive says it only has 6gb left. (Its only 25gb as I've split the HD into smaller drives)

I can only account for 12gb, seemingly 7gb is given over to NetHood.

I could do with clearing up this disk to improve performance

Ok i found a useful tool called Treesize, this confirms my findings, why is 6gb seemingly being used by the c (on my acer laptop) drive when in fact it is a mapped drive on my backup PC

See image - 6,514MB ACERBU is folder name on HP-Jo (backup computer name)

    weird ?

I use Sequoiaview ( http://www.win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/ ). It's a wonderful visual tool that lets you see where these huge abandoned files are lurking.

Way back when hard drive were measured in Mb not Gb I won a PC that came supplied with nothing but the operating system installed... I tried to install a basic DTP program but ran out of disk space immediately .... I found lurking a file of 104mb in size leaving just 5mb free space .. no reason other just being there as it felt like it.... you just have to love computers.
