I got given a kitten as a birthday present recently and our older cat (Smokey) is about 3 now (we adopted him - sorry I mean he adopted us when he was about 1) and is really scared of the new ball of fluff and hisses and growls at the poor little thing who just wants to play! I dont know if this is normal but we are just trying to keep them apart for now!!

The kitten is black with white feet and a white chest, he has no name so any suggestions...................?! (sorry I'm not trying to hijack the thread here just wondered if any one had any ideas!!)

Solve the problem by ditching the cats and getting some proper pets like a golden labrador or a pair of guinea pigs

golden labrador or a pair of guinea pigs
            I'v allready eaten today

well, they still arent friends. they still joust, but sometimes they actually can tolerate each other for a few minutes.

they are probably involved in some ploy to get more tasty meat out of me, since now, i seem to stupidly put two sets of food out. meaning that overall, they get more.

            they have indeed tricked me.

            bastards.

How about 'Mr Bojangles', heard the song the other day and thought it'd make a great name for a cat.

                Cats and Dogs!
                Keep it simple.

                Ceefur - for the Cat
                Deefur - for the Dog

How come this purrfect thread has been allowed to litter this forum in this catastrophic manner?

[Note - "Ceefur" as in 'C for' Cat etc]

My youngest daughter uses a similar naming convention for her toys (no hungarian notation for her - geeky programming joke there :-) I'm in training), she uses the colour and type of thing and when necessary the size, so for example she has big purple rabbit and blue bunny ... very clever I think.
