    Query between Excel files

    I have 2 excel.xls files.

File A contains a list of names and address
File B contains a list of names and addresses which may or may not found in A

What is the best way to extract the balance of the names and addresses ie File A - File B

These were not created from Actinic but are standard deliminated fields.

    John

A simple poor man's way (who doesn't know enough about MSAccess to create a query to do it) would be to copy both lists into one worksheet and sort then whole lot, then delete the duplicates.

However if you want to attempt this with access then this will help. (just rename the extension to zip instead of txt)

          Jont,

If you can't do it manually then drop me an email and I'll write you a macro to do it.

Mike - many thanks for the offer - I did it manually this morning as it was also a good excuse to also manually weed the addresses I knew would not require a mailshot.
