Shipping to Ireland

We are starting to ship to Republic of Ireland, generally about 1 or 2 parcels a week.

Average weight: 2kg
Average box size: 43cm x 32cm x 32cm
Average retail value: £30/£35

Our current couriers are not competitive.

Anyone any experiences of a value for money courier to Ireland?

I will be honest, Eire is charged at pretty much the same international rates as france, belgium e.t.c

Parcel force global priority would probably set you back around £30, you could checkout royalmails airsure service, its a recorded door to door, not sure of the size and weights though

I should have mentioned in my initial posting.

I have accounts and regular collections with Parcel Force & Royal Mail.

Parcel Force - quite expensive
Royal Mail - boxes I need to send are too big

I've since looked at using Interparcel who seem very reasonable.

I use interparcel when I occasionally need things couriered.

They've always been collected by one of the big names and been very reliable. If the price is right for you then you could do worse than give them a try.

Try www.bananadoo.com, they offer very good rates, eg your 2kg parcel to Ireland via Parceline would be just £15.50 + VAT, but you could also send 10kg for that price.

We use royal mail for everything up to 2kg

Above that it all goes ANC who have been the most competetive for the past 18 months.

With a retail value of £30 and shipping £15.50 I hope you have lots of margin or the customer's willing to pay a lot for delivery.
