Registering a slogan / catchphrase

Has anyone registered their businesses' slogan or catchphrase, such as

BMW "The ultimate driving machine"
HSBC "The world's local bank"
Nestle "Good food. Good life"

Anyone that has, how did you go about it?

You have to register it as a trademark, it must be original and specific to a selected area i.e you can register "Mini" for Motor Vehcles but someone else can register it for food or aircraft etc.
