    Dreamweaver Awakenings Part 1

    Hello Guys

As many of you already do, I have been happily working with DW for more years than I care to remember. Blissfully unaware of many of the strengths it offers as I never knew they existed.

Well, having just completed a refresher course (not visited macro uni for many moons) I have to say, how ignorant I have been to the powerful features of this software and more importantly, the complimentary behaviour between v8 & DW.

Now I know many of you out there know DW like the back of your hand, I thought I did...this course really did turn on a light at this end. The slick nature of creating great pages has just got slicker. CSS is no longer a black art as DW really does make this task easy to grasp.

You really can teach an old dog new tricks.

I have to also point out that I have NO AFFILIATION with Macromedia/Adobe (I wish) this post is just to highlight, if you have some time, refresh what you thought you knew very well, you may well be surprised.

    Regards

The CSS support is fantastic IMO. DW 8 now lets you change permissions on folders too, great one that is. Make sure you update to 8.02 otherwise you keep losing ftp details a real pain in the posteria.

Nobody uses more than 1% of Photoshop - it is just too big for the human brain to comprehend

The trick is knowing what the other 99% does so you can increase the 1%...

Are we awarding more Goats to the truth or blatant bragging?

tut tut... I can spot deliberate Goat Point herding a mile off.

However... a real point would be earned by someone joining in the thread and adding something like.... "well when I was a lecturer at dreamweaver school...."

                    Now thats a point earned.

that reminds me of when i set up the RAC call centre in Manchester at their head office, i don't think dreamweaver was so well known then.

Or if the dude with the coffee bean website (remember him) added that he collects his own personal supply of coffee beans in person from the farm in Africa.
