Does anyone use NAS or SAN for storage, shared files or backup etc?
I'm doing some work for a client who has important files, accounts, admin stuff spread over four machines all connected to a broadband router. They don't share much apart from a printer which also connects through the router. When they do share they tend to carry stuff to and from pc's on floppy (nightmare!!).
I've suggested that they have one point of access for all their shared files. This would also make backing up an easier process.
Some people tell me NAS is the way to go, others say SAN. Any comments please?
