What's dropshipping?

Somebody has asked if we do 'dropshipping' and I have no idea what it is.
Anyone know?

Your customer (Bob) takes the money and the order, sends you his customers details (Bill) and you send the items direct to his customer - you invoice your customer (Bob)

It means a reseller can flog stuff that you stock. And you do the work.

Can work very well - they get to increase their range without stock holding and you get in effect an additional sales outlet.
