Air Mail to France - problems?

I've only sent a few parcels by Air Mail to France. The first one didn't arrive, and two recent ones look like being very late (well beyond the 3 working days promised).

Anyone else had experience of this?

Not me personally, but another very busy Actinic user in the town told me only this morning he no longer ships to France or Spain as every order he has sent to customers in these 2 countries this year have gone awol

If this is true, the scale of theft must be enormous. What business is your colleague in? I wonder if particular goods are being targeted.

If the two I'm waiting on don't arrive I shall stop sending to France.

Take the weekend off Alan and deliver them yourself, grab some duty free while you are there and it will be well worth it. Grab me some stuff too if you don't mind. I've dealt with Portugal a number of times with no problem, i can't see why France should be any different. Zut alors!

Nope, we have regular and new customers in France (and Spain), no problems at all, even with normal International Airmail (not Recorded).

we post on a regular basis to germany, belgium, france, spain, portugal, greece, italy

to date (touch wood) only one delivery to greece had problem.

Small update on delivery times for Airmail to Europe:

RM Website: 3 w/days
RM Helpdesk: 10 w/days

10 w/days! WTF are they doing with it!

The delay would be in France, probably on stike or working to rule (because someone insulted the goat)

We find France usually 8-12 days and Spain (10-28 days+) the worst .

Mind you North London, Cardiff and Glasgow can be almost as bad.

Yes we have when shipping surf-wax purchases. The person who ships for me also has a French lodger who says post in france is very unreliable. Delays and non arrival are the norm.

The two parcels finally arrived.
One was airmail and took 10 days
One was surface mail and took 14 days
