Sage Financial Controller 10 - Product Costs

    Hi,

We are going to start using Sage Financial Controller 10.02.022 for our business software and all appears to be great.

However, in sop entry you appear to be unable to change the cost price for products without going back into the product details

Anybody use Sage and have a resolution for this problem? am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Dave,

Sorry, but I'm not a Sage expert, however, I have looked at a Sales Order in my version (13), I can double-click on a line item, which opens an 'Edit Line Item' dialogue window and then I can amend the price here - it doesn't affect the product price in the product details. I don't know if you can do that in your version.

      Hi Tracey,

I have done this but the product cost price is not shown and therefore I am unable to change it

        Hi Dave,

It looks like it is something they introduced in a later version to yours then. I wonder if anyone else using Sage v10 has a workaround to this.

Thanks for looking Tracey. I will just have to go into product maintenance and change the cost prices before raising the order!

            Hi Dave,

We're using v11 of Sage Financial Controller and the cost price does not show at all when inputting order lines into the SOP module. The cost price of items is automatically entered each time we receive an order from our suppliers and gets updated with any new prices we get charged via the POP (Purchase Order Processing) module.

The price charged to customers can be over ridden when entering each order line by clicking on the price and adjusting it manually - this is handy if you have any limited time Special Offers on a particulare item.
