Fasthost - recommended?

Just gingerly looking to move host to webfusion.

Currently have a big, busy site and am happy with my current host other than i feel i am paying through the nose.

Does anyone have experience of hosting a busy site with webfusion?

I used to be hosted with webfusion many years ago, but left them because of the cost. If you want to look elsewhere, I would have a look at 34sp.com who have a plethora of different hosting packages. I've been with them for many years and have found them very helpful. I host a good few Actinic sites on their reseller space and it has alway been satisfactory and very reasonably priced!

I would still reccommend that you change your domain reg to a seperate holding company be it 123 or ukreg, it just makes things so easy if you have problems with your isp in the future, you can move your site without their permission at the touch of a button and then sort out the penalties if any

Webfusion=Pipex=HostEurope=Germany etc

They have just finished moving all the datacenters to Leeds so fingers crossed they will stay there for a while - famous last words

A Webfusion salesman told me the other day that their shared servers were in Germany, having told me (different salesman) last year that they were all in the UK - maybe I'll try again and ask if they know where Leeds is

(The Germans haven't bought Leeds have they? )

PS Apparently Tiscali's intentions are to use Pipex to further their business in Britain, so at least they shouldn't move to Italy. Confused yet?
