Shock news: Rock festival blows mind.

I just got back from Download '07

    http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/lineup/

and i can tell you, thats typically, spending 5 days in a mucky field with 100,000 peoples was well worth it.

especially Dimmu Borgir and Dragonforce. They roxxored.

whats the best band/festival anyone here has seen?

Dude when they rip em out and theyre stuck right in the middle of a 40 foot square screen, the music just plays and you are otherwise entertained, although he was very good i must admit.

I also got the top of my head and forehead on one of the tv's as the bird on my shoulders went for 15 seconds of fame and wapped hers out. I remember saying to my mate, FFS typical a sheila this close to me with her baps out and i can't see them, he soon directed me to look at the screen where i nearly pissed myself laffing.

Stiff Little Fingers, Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, night before St Patricks every year since the Titanic sunk (I think).

Also saw The Clash in London, back in the day.

Who'd have thought there would be another SLF fan on the Actinic forum! If only we could add tracks to our profiles, then we could give everyone an education!

LOL, it would have been a 90 minute adventure to find the loos from where i was. I can recall the stand swaying with the shear volume of people jumping around. The whole pitch (Old Trafford Cricket Ground btw) and the stands were rammed with what seemed like 100,000 people. Having seen that, i started to understand their need for drugs, the buzz from that kind of gig, must be so hard to replicate, it's not a surprise at all if they fall victim. I remember turning round and looking back and it was just overwhelming, sent the hairs on your neck upon end. I've never seen so many, genuinely enjoying themselves in such proximity.

The bro has it, although he conveniently forgets to bring it every time I see him! Honestly, I'll be placing a 'Suspect Device' in his house if he doesn't produce it soon!

                              Oh dear.... *shakes head*

One of my players was down this year as well as last. His fav group is Bad Brains. I think he owns about a million band t-shirts. Quite a good defender as well actually.
