    As a previous newbie
    must...resist...noob....jokes....

he's right though. not only are people new to actinic when they come here, but they are also new to netiquette the net as a whole and general behaviour on bulletin boards.

actinic actually brings people to the internet, as retailers realise that they can sell things online, and that they need the net to do it.

it always makes me laugh when someone new to the net gets excited about sending an email. for example. or getting a response in a thread.

on the other hand, the world is full of noobs. to pwn.

Oh go on....you know you want to

I take the point about newbies having to start somewhere... and a look at THIS THREAD plainly shows that help is at hand here when needed at even the very beginning.

I think this thread has been kinda blown outta proportion

I think it's already recognised that site reviews should be in the 'any other business' forum rather than support.

As far as putting them somewhere else why bother? If they're starting out and want a link then that's fine by me. At least it prevents them posting something else just to get a link (and if they're doing it just for a link then that is what will happen).

And as long as it's clearly labelled 'site review' then I can take a quick look if I feel like it or completely ignore the thread.

So I'm really quite happy with the way it works at the moment.

I use that to translate nearly all of your posts, Gabe
