    Vehicle Sticker Removal

Anyone know the best way to remove vinyl graphics from your car?

We had a Smart car stickered up a while back and now its time to change it for a new one.
    Thanks

Hair dryer or a heat gun, slowly does it, you can also accelerate the process by pouring boiled water, but it gets tedious keep waiting for it to boil.

Oh joy - looks like it may take a while then! - May just buy some new panels and bin the old ones.
      Thanks

Once you get started and keep the heat going its not to bad, just let the heat gun do the work with a steady tension

You may well find it easier if you can borrow a electricians heat gun used for heatsink rubber easier than a hair dryer as the heat gun is a lot hotter and therefore easier

Meths is good for removeing any left over glue after removing the vinyl

If there is any residue left when dry try a soft pencil eraser (with care) .. this worked for me previously but it may be adhesive specific so use with caution.

Don't forget that Smart car panels are plastic, not metal.........

Exactly - may have to wait till the sun comes out and then just try a dry peel.
              Thanks

That will not work you will be left with a mess, They most likely used a heat gun when applying it as its used for corners and other not straight area's so you should be ok, its not something you need a great amount of heat on the panel but the hotter the gun the quicker it is

Plus if you use a defuser you can select the area of vinyl you want to get off without heating the panel
