Community - Is there a need for a 'Chat' Area
I've noticed an increasing amount of 'chat' type postings, especially lately. Now, I've nothing against members of the community effectively chatting, or passing round jokes, or whatever. After all, a community is, by definition, a place where people with a common interest can help each other (and do -major thanks the the knowledgeable bedrock of this community BTW), and also meet more socially, if you will.
However, I think the time has come to hive off the more general chat into its own subgroup, as it can be tedious wading through a thread which has left the subject and gone off to an 'in-joke' session part way through.
So, by all means use the community to have some fun, as well as work, but let's have a separate area for this exact purpose.
Have I stuck my neck out here?
