I can bring it back on topic, with confirmation that my water is now back on.
It appears to have come on some time through the night and incredibly we now have water pressure about 50% stronger. Although this is great, i did leave the lawn sprinkler on overnight and due to the extra water pressure it has managed to wash both cars, soak the drive and worst of all with the downstairs window left open, now has a little lake on the window sill with a bit on the carpet. Windows were only cleaned a few days ago, now they are trashed too.

Glad water is back on Lee, sorry about the minor flood and as for the preasure perhaps the leak had been there for a while and then finaly burst, you just never know.
Funny you should say that though, my water preasure is getting lower these days, mind you we were on a hose pipe ban for well over a year, even in the winter, to many bloody houses and no one has built a resovoir in the last 30 years, yet it's our fault because we use more water, and it's not enviromentaly friendly to use lots of water ? Someone has probably calculated that by reducing the preasure by 10psi reduces the flow by x litres which will save x litres, not that it takes me longer to do anything so i still use the same amount of water

then syphon up the water on the drive, freeze it, make ice cubes and water your hanging baskets
then congratulate yourself and take the baby and swing in the hammock for the rest of the day...

Maybe low pressure is a sign of leaks all over the place, if you'd seen what this broken pipe had managed to flood in such a short time, you'd be astonished. It must be under such high pressure. The guy on the emergency line even said if you are anywhere near, make sure you go and have a look it will be breathtaking...it was....there is a little subway for crossing a road, the water was a foot below the top of it, i had walked under it a few days ago.

I do like the ice cubes trick, definitely one for the future, a very good idea.
I can't do the windows, window cleaner might take the hump...ahem...
And the hammock is out of action for the day as we're off out shortly, just waiting for the dairy to close.
A funny post though croccy, you getting funnier by the day, seem to make me chuckle at least once a day or is that Chris D?...never mind. Any ideas where the grand prix is this weekend?
