    Shipping to USA

    Hi

Around 40% of our business is currently to the USA. We have for years sent items via Airmail or International Signed For via Royal Mail but recently things are begining to take forever to arrive and tracking is a bit hit and miss.

As most of the items are less that 100g we thought we may be able to use UPS or Fexex but the cost is very high.

Anyone else have this issue or a solution?
    Thanks

You might want to have a chat with Fastway Couriers - (very) preliminary indications are that as a UK customer you get very good deals on international deliveries with big name couriers - it might well be worth joining up for this reason alone (plus good rates in the UK......).

Search the forum ("fastway courier") for views for and against them in the UK.

Just looked up Airsure with Royal Mail, for you 100grm packet it costs just under £6.70, I think you will be hard put to be able to find a courier who can get anyway near that price

My avarage packet is 1-2 kg so makeing it unatractive to deal overseas as the postage is more expensive than the goods plus customs problems etc

The problem with Airsure / Int Signed For is there is no tracking once it leaves the UK. If it gets held up in US customs for a fortnight you are unable to tell.

To the customer it looks lost.
        Thanks
