    Good Weekend / Bad Weekend?

Good: Wet weekend = shop very busy with all those parents stuck at home with the kids
Bad: Local PO had the auditors in on Thursday and has been shut ever since. Rumour has it that there was some financial impropriety. For us this means a long trek to the main PO and long queues

the person who does my dispatching has the same problem, her local PO closed due to irregularities. Main PO is a nightmare, she now drives to a 3rd location where they are friendly and not so busy. She has to avoid busy POs at the back of spar shops where you queue down the shopping aisles, as her 3 year old sits in his buggy shouting - buttons, milky stars, finger of fudge and so on.

      I can sympathise with that!
Prior to moving into the building my office is in now (which has it's own mail collection) I used to have to call into our PO on the way home from school and nursery (with a then 3 and 6yo)
It would have actually cost me LESS per week to have it collected from home than it cost me in the PO/shop each day!
Except RM refused to collect from my house because I live in an outlying village and they only time they would collect was 4pm!
Not only costing me twice as much...but also smack bang in the middle of school/nursery collection time when there would be no one in anyway.
      RM didn't give a toss though...they weren't interested!

I suppose that's an added bonus of my office...'free' (as in 'included'!) mail collection and no chocolate costs!

Shame though really because the staff in my local PO are lovely.. even though I was bringing them already stamped mail by the sackload.. I suppose they knew they had my revenue in sweets instead!

That did make me chuckle, the good ole days with mojos and the half pence sweet.

Good: Bad weather keeping people in house yesterday (first good sunday after 1 1/2 months)

Bad: We got a trojan on our main laptop saturday. Last backup was corrupted. (blooming acronis did not informed during validation). thank god we have two partitions which meant that we saved a lot of stuff plus we saved the important files to a DVD. so the only major loss was our emails in outlook

blooming trojan was sending all those spam emails out.

Good: Spent a glorious few days in Ravello on the Amalfi coast (Italy). Eating fine food and drinking fine wine while the sun set beyond the mountains, bathing Amalfi in a golden light.

Bad: Weather (brrrr)......rain (peezing it down again).......

bad weekend, concentrated so much on the giant RV gently hitting the car in front of me, that I forgot to look where I was going, hit the kerb, wrote off a nice wheel on my van - the spare was damaged in the same way (like it when I bought it and didn't look ) and to cap it all, the spare was flat !

spent the day running around trying to get repairs
