    Dumping Surplus Stock

What would be the best place to dump surplus stock at below cost price.

We have a load of product from a brand we no longer sell and could do with dumping it in one job lot.
    Thanks

The agreement with the manufacturer is that we are not allowed to dump the product on eBay - also we have a lot of it.

Gone down the root of asking said manufacturer to take it back but as its seasonal they declined as expected.
      Thanks

If they dont want it back, sell it on ebay as a home user, dont link it to you.

Are they really going to investigate it, maybe if you did it all the time. Lets get real here its dead, the manufac dont want it what you suppose to do with it.

We were recently approched by a company who sell excess stock on ebay for you. You give them the stock they list it and despatch it and then pay you a %. We haven't used them so don't know what they are like xsitems.com think they franchise to local 'depots'. Would remove the connection from you? As i say don't know much about them but might be worth a conversation.

Problem with eBay is that manufacturer vets most of their product before they allow the auction to go live. Would be easy to trace it back to us.

I'll check the eBay wanted posts and see if we can do a deal that way with someone. Bargain pages or Loot ad may bring the home eBayers out of the woods.
            Thanks

But if you say you sold them on as dead stock to a third party,as they did not want to accept returns, what can they do?

I presume this is a gentleman's agreement as they cannot stop you selling your goods wherever you wish.

On that basis, if they want you to continue selling their current products, perhaps a bit of gentle persuasion is required.

On the other hand if you are not going to do business with them again then do as you need to.
