Any Actinic sites selling Light tents?

Any community folk selling these, or know of a nice site that does? I'm in the market for one.

Jonty will advise if he sees this thread I'm sure but eBay seems to be a decent bet if price is an issue?

One situation where you want to have a search around. the tent market is flooded at the moment and a 10 minute research online will save you plenty!

For cheap back of car tents though, Argos or Halfords are generally unbeatable!

We got ours from ebay, it was a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

Google for light tent -camping inurl:acatalog and that will return only Actinic sites (and ignore pages with camping on them to boot).

Nick - don't forget the lighting - a light tent is brilliant for diffusing light sources but also cuts it down dramatically which could be an issue depending on what you are wanting to photograph and the amount of available light.

A good trick is to bounce light back into the light tent using reflectors - I use sheets of cardboard covered in scrunched then flattened tin foil (faceted surface) to get extra light back in there (that's along with 3 studio lights).

If shooting under mixed lighting set the camera to RAW (assuming digital) so you can adjust the white balance in the editing software afterwards to remove colour casts.

If the stuff you're photographing is not huge, you might want to consider something like a Lastolite Cubelite (I can type it but I can't say it.....), which can be erected quickly (don't even go there), and can be used outside for maximum light.
