    cant afford photoshop? try 'the gimp'

    The gimp is an open source image ending tool, every bit as powerful as photoshop. in fact, it has better scripting support, originally for linux, there is a simple and free windows installer, gimpshop is an attempt to move around the options and tools in the gimp, to resemble the layout of photoshop, making it easier for people to convert:

    Gimpshop - similar to photoshop tools and layouts.

      its mostly niche, tbh.

      but then some great mainstream open source apps make it good. like firefox, openoffice and azureus.

      i'm a big fan of Pidgin (MSN messenger replacement), and also the gimp.

      mind, i am an avid photoshop user too.

          Pidgin used to be called 'Gaim', but they had to change thais name, something to do with AOL.

          http://www.pidgin.im/

          It supports
          * AIM
          * Bonjour
          * Gadu-Gadu
          * Google Talk
          * Groupwise
          * ICQ
          * IRC
          * MSN
          * MySpaceIM
          * QQ
          * SILC
          * SIMPLE
          * Sametime
          * XMPP
          * Yahoo!
          * Zephyr

          according to the site.

          so basically it pisses all over MSN messenger.
