I keep going to buy CS3 and then stopping myself as i cannot think of anything that i am missing from the current DW8 and PS CS2 software. Can you build a sensible argument on why i should move from CS2 to CS3 been as you are a user nowadays?

                OK

Dreamweaver 8 to CS3 - the biggest step forward (and worth the upgrade IMHO) is the ability to delve into the Spry framework. The simplistic integration of 100's of js functions brings interactivity development right into focus without the need for specialist coding improvement awareness (js training to you and me )

The much improved integration into FWCS3 & PSCS3 has decreased the workflow cycle by around 10% in my experience.

CSS, well that has gone forward massively on previous versions, with the ability to build it on the fly or select any variations and modify. Ideal for home and business users regardless of your own css skills....marvellous. (and if you need it, the good old CSS advisor is always on hand when you get a little stumped)

On the functional side, the browser checks, all round stability and work environment have improved drastically. No more annoying crashed BTW when you select 'close all' with numeous pages open.

Creating Web 2.0 sites has never been more appealing IMHO nor has it been so much closer to the grasp of the 'common man' if you know what I mean.

                Phew, time for a cuppa....

You could sell ice to the eskies DJ.

I have been improving my JS knowledge of late so a library of scripts sounds awesome, love that idea.

The CSS in DW8 is great as it is IMO, i really like it, so if that is improved - awesome, although can't quite picture how it could be improved so much.

Big factor is the actinic integration, i do not want any stress at all in this area, it can go whistle if there is even a hint and there still seems to be problems around.

I guess a trial download on a second system is the way to go (if they do one) and see what its like. What did you pay DJ, found anywhere you'd recommend?

You can download a free trial of DW direct from adobe.

I have had no issues with Actinic integration (XP OS BMS) but it seems others have.

All I can suggest is when you install DWCS3 make sure you have cleaned the machine completely of any previous install (use a windows cleaner not that kind!!)

I bought direct from Adobe as I used the upsell option to grab the WP CS3.

Suck it and see mate, trust me, you will not look back.

                    Regards
                    DJ

(BTW I am no way affiliated with Adobe)

Just watched the promo video, looks good actually, like the move CSS around into an order feature, i do that regularly on actinic sites so i have a logical order how things are in the list.
