      Think like a programmer Lee.....

      if you can't drop the height of the arms ... bung 4 copies of the AUG under the desk legs

        I like the logic, but its flawed, i want the top of my thighs to get closer to the underside of the desk. That can only occur if the chair is not under the desk or i get my chainsaw out.

          block if <ActinicVariable Lee == ShortArse>

          ChairWithArms + Cushion == OriginalDesk + AUG

          /block

          .AUG {
          padding=75mm;
          }

                      Office Furniture

                      You offered some good advice about my site a week ago or so - so it can't have been memorable for you.. I am working on this constantly and recognise that it only shows a fraction of the thousands of office furniture products that we offer.

                      Give me a call if you want on 01634 304406 and I am confident that we will be able to assist you. Regards Jeff

                        Think outside the box Lee, office chair or Daddy chair? Daddy chair must have arms, office chair is better without - I took the arms off my chair and its much better for working without it, although it takes a few days to learn how to get up without leaning on arms that are no longer there flat on face!

                        I worked on this actinic store several years ago - go erganomic - seatingvfm.com

                        Jenny's price guide is better £250-350 is nearer the mark, £150 is still in tatsville

                            I agree - anything less than £300 isn't going to last or give all-day comfort and support.
                            I looked at some operator chairs priced at £600 last year; they were extremely good and I can't wait to be able to afford one
                            Kind Regards

                                Maybe it depends on the individual? Our main chairs (£80 each I think) from Viking bought over two years ago are still going strong, no creaking etc, and I'm never bothered with a bad back or anything like that, I'm not light but certainly not overweight either. Was planning on replacing my own one (later on) but decided not to as these ones are fine.

                                I offered advice as I saw fit. Tattsville? Hardly, more like good value IMHO.

                                A tip for self assembly ones, put a little bit of loctite on the allen bolts.
