Needing to convert a load of text saved in all UPPER case to lower case I came accross the following site which has loads of tips and hints so thought I would share it with the forum.

I assume you already have the solution to your caps to lower case problem from the page provided.
There were rather a lot of tips on the page, so I'm not sure if this is on there or not, but to add to your tip, a standard way of converting casetypes to to use the format menu in Word.
Simply select the text and choose FORMAT |CHANGE CASE.
If you need to do this regularly, you can create a simple macro (see Word help for how to create macros), which will perform the whole thing via a hot key combination.

OT I know but...

Makes me think - maybe we should have predictive text in Word as per mobile phones....(rather than auto-complete)

(wouldn't help me mind I have to keep it switched off - it's hard enough trying to get the letters in in the first place without some software changing what I just entered LOL- I prefer to use my pc to send texts )

There are also the UPPER and LOWER functions in Excel if your data is in that format (e.g externally linked datasheet).
