    A Parcel to America...

Anyone recommend a two day shipping service to Washington USA from Sunny Scotland? Preferrably one I can use without an account?

(I usually use Parcel Farce but they're being a bit pants with only a four day offering)

    Cheers the noo.

I think you can use either Fed-Ex or UPS without an account.
Have a nice Islay malt handy for when you hear the price.

Book DHL through Interparcel. It's much cheaper than going direct.

We do all our non uk parcels through interparcel - we often use the express service through UPS which is 1-3 days but usually only takes 2.
Trying to squeeze my moneys worth out of V7 - but not for much longer!

          Coo - good prices!
I tried them a few years ago when they first started but their prices weren't competitive and the website kept crashing, so I forgot about them.
Different story now though .... I'll sign up straightaway.

          Thanks for the tip

I used to use a middleman type company like that before, but their names gone completely out of my head at the moment. (Don't you just hate not finding something on your favourites that you're sure is hidden somewhere)

            Anyway, to compare.

            Parcel Farce 4 days - £85

            DHL 2 Days - £116

            DHL 3 Days - £95

            Interparcel 1-3 Days - £55

            Cheers lads, much appreciated.

Worth a look at Parcels4 delivery - they use Fedex and offer a 2-3 day service to USA at really great rates.

              Check this out

Used them a couple of times for USA and they were spot on.

              Cheers

We used DHL via Bananadoo last week to New York - brilliant. Got there the next day after we spent a long time explaining to the customer that there was no way it could get there the next day because "we were in the UK, stupid". Online quotes and very good service (human on end of phone).

George, if you chose DHL through Interparcel (ignore me if you went UPS) keep an eye on your post.

DHL have a nasty habit of sending the invoice to the wrong address, i.e. the collection address, instead of to Interparcel's office, and then demanding money with menaces. In spite of the fact that you have already paid Interparcel.

(Even worse if you did in fact have an account with them, once).

I sent a small parcel to America this week - it cost me £2.20 to send it on a 5 day delivery (sent as small packet, weight 1.25kg), I was surprised it was so cheap. This isn't going to help you because yours looks to be quite heavy but I though that my random ramblings were interesting.

                      Ian,

For a 2Kg (20x20x20cm) parcel to the USA, DHL via interparcel are 37% cheaper than p4d (£23.75 Vs £37.94).

That Banandoo price for the US does look good. Their UK rates aren't so good though. I might try Banandoo for international and stick with interparcel for my occasional UK courier parcel. Most of my stuff goes Royal Mail.

Mike - that's what we do, we use Bananadoo for international and PF/Fastway for UK. The PF rep came round the other day and said he knew about Bananadoo and said that there was no way PF could compete internationally. The fact that we use DHL/Bananadoo internationally doesn't affect our UK PF account rates.

You might like to look at Parcel2ship (www.parcel2ship.co.uk). We have used them a few times and they are pretty cheap and customer service is good.
