Are you having Problems with Dreamweaver MX and Vista?

    Hi All

This may not be the right place in the forum for this post but I could not think of anywhere else to post it.

I have seen numerous postings in various places about Dreamweaver MX and Windows Vista. As has everyone else I had problems with inserting tables, and various bits not working properly, share violations etc.

Here is the good news, it is posssible to fix it.
I have managed a good installation...You have to tell the SETUP programme to run as a windows XP programme, likewise when it's installed it needs to be windows XP compatible. This seems to have cured all problems with tables and sharing violations. I know, I know, this is an Actinic forum but Dreamweaver does get used with Actinic, doesn't it?

We had the same thing with the City Link Clan software. Installed in compatibility mode as administrator and it works perfectly, even though CL IT dept says there's no way to get it working under vista. A good tip for vista users and we always do this for any software which is not marked as Vista compatible now.
