I had a feelingthat was what had happened.
But I think there's more - I wonder what happened at 1and1 and easyspace to cause them to fall over yesterday - and I wonder if that was not connected in some way to why VM blocked the IPs? Was there a DOS of some sort?

That does sound like a probable cause to me...
