    Sent for online shopping from Sainsburys today and ordered 2 madeira birthday cakes for a child's party to serve 30.

    Not on the shelf, so their delivered "substitutes" were 2 slices of Madeira cake - wouldn't serve a mouse! - as their system said it was the closest match!

    Anyway, phoned them to say what had happened and they sent out a special delivery run in a car within minutes to replace the "slices" with more suitable sized treats.

    I know most national online websites can't be at hand to resolve such errors within such a short space of time, but it just shows you that a little bit of extra special customer service can go a long way - even if through gritted teeth!

        i know those feelings, we keep getting calls at the moments from an 0800 number if you ring it back it says its BT ad we missed you, WTF it only rings twice and hangs up
