Sent for online shopping from Sainsburys today and ordered 2 madeira birthday cakes for a child's party to serve 30.
Not on the shelf, so their delivered "substitutes" were 2 slices of Madeira cake - wouldn't serve a mouse! - as their system said it was the closest match!
Anyway, phoned them to say what had happened and they sent out a special delivery run in a car within minutes to replace the "slices" with more suitable sized treats.
I know most national online websites can't be at hand to resolve such errors within such a short space of time, but it just shows you that a little bit of extra special customer service can go a long way - even if through gritted teeth!
