    DELL 3010cn Colour Laser Printer

I've got a brand new boxed one of the above for sale. It is just sitting in my office not being used. I use one of these printers myself, this is a second one i bought, never used and now want to clear some space.

Never used, still in its box, original packaging etc. it also includes the colour toner thingys, basically everything you need.

Let me know if anyone wants it, it'll be listed on ebay otherwise.

What sort of money, Lee? The one you use, is it reasonable in running costs? Would like to try a colour laser but wary of it costing many shekels per page printed.

Granted replacing toner is expensive but I have this exact model too and, despite several thousand pages having gone through it (roughly equal B&W and Colour) last time I checked the toner status bar had barely moved (which I was both surprised and thankful about!)

Speed alone makes a laser printer worth the cost, IMO, and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one of these (and on that note, how much, Lee?)

I'm open to offers Paul, but they need to be sensible, otherwise i may as well just use it as spares for my current one. As for running costs, i couldn't really say to be honest, i don't think i print enough to have worked it out. I am still using all of the original cartridges that come with it. I only ever seem to print Norman's invoices or the odd letter i need to send, i run a pretty paperless office really.

Have different printers in the office for different uses.

Inkjet = Photos (cant get the right colour tone or depth with laser unless you pay through the nose) but really slowwwww....
B&W Laser = letters, invoices etc
Colour Laser = Brochures and anything else needing fast colourful prints.

Definitely get a colour laser as the price is now affordable (compared with a year or so ago), very fast and can get decent mailshots and brochures on an "as and when basis" instead of paying for printing and setup costs with a professional company.

Generally, print toner and cartridges are expensive (same as always, consumables pay for the hardware as far as the manufacturer is concerned - try to buy a decent lens for a Digital SLR!!) but just make sure you use the right printer for the job ...ie for example, don't use a colour printer for black and white prints unless there is a dedicated black toner as it will use up all of the colours .....but I'm sure you know that!

AHA! Seeing your comment on another thread today, Lee, does this printer come with sealed drum & toner, I wonder?

Anyway - sorry - did a little research & gone off the idea. I am thinking that, folowing on from Sam's comments, the use that I had in mind for it - tailored flyers to go out in each parcel - would fall on deaf ears and would therefore be a waste.

We should have a Community Exchange Thread where we can swap stuff.

                  What a shame!

Just threw out an all-in-one fax/scanner/copier. The fax stopped working but it would have a been ok for the other 2 jobs!

I've got 4 used cat scratching posts, just in the process of replacing them, having some fun winding up a site owner at the moment (wink wink). Hope she doesn't palm me off.

This printer still on the go? Trace recommends this particular breed so thought I'd best investigate.

I do still have it yes, in fact that is a timely reminder to get off my backside and continue tidying up my office and get it listed. I have no idea what i want for it George, make me an offer and i'll either say yes or no. I guess ebay is a good place for a ballpark figure.
