Parcel tracking at La Poste?

Anyone know where/if you can track a Royal Mail International Signed For anywhere on laposte.fr ? I've prodded it for about 40 mins now and have given up. RM site says it knows about it and it was passed to France. Don't normally have problems with post to France, but this package seems to be dragging it's feet.

You can only track this after it has been delivered. It's like Recorded (Signed For) in the UK. It goes more or less in the normal mail and a signature is obtained on delivery. There is no real-time tracking such as you get with international imports/exports.

If you are sending with RM then you can only check the tracking on the RM. It will only report when it has been delivered.

Are you sure? RM only ever seems to report that it has passed the parcel: eg. "It's on it's way. Your item, posted on LONGTIMEAGO with reference BLAH has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in FRANCE. " In my experience this RM tracking status remains, regardless of whether it's delivered, lost or returned to us. Trying a few sample shipments from December at random, I can't see any RM Intl Signed For other than as above for any country.

We find many/most overseas postal services can track signed for Royal Mail airmail, so it's surprising that the French can't manage it. Even the benighted USPS can provide onward tracking once Recorded Airmail has passed through US Customs (though they can sometimes find actually delivering it a bit tricky).

Enter the International Signed For reference in the box labelled "Saisissez vos numéros d'envoi." and click "Valider".

Of course, you'll still need to speak French to decipher the results...

Merci, but putting in a couple of sample ISF references (including one that I know was delivered recently) produces nothing but a Gallic shrug:

"Nous n'avons pas d'information associée à ce numéro d'envoi.
Veuillez vérifier votre numéro d'envoi sur votre lettre de transport."
