looking for new actinic designer in cornwall

Hi everyone, we have an Actinic Store which was designed and built a few years ago. We are currently trying to get the site changed to an easier product display, less photographs etc.. and easier access to customers. I Run the actinic store and update all products, this will remain the same. I am looking to find someone in Cornwall who has experience of Actinic stores that can change our site to our specifications. Unfortunatly the original designers decided to completely 'hide' the actinic layout and now we have to try to get it back! Do you have any names, contacts etc.. that I could request a quote from? Our website is www.croftytin.co.uk if it needs to be looked at first, and yes, i know it is a total mess!! I have to say, i wasnt here when the original design was done so i honestly had no say. lol
    Thanks in advance
    Debi

All the layouts (templates) are in the site1 folder ... these are the ones that start with "Act_" eg Act_Primary.html, Act_PrimaryCheckout.html ... they have to be there as Actinic uses these templates along with the database to add the products, sections etc.

The templates are all in standard HTML so these can be edited with Notepad, Dreamweaver etc should you feel inclined to have a go yourself.

Hi Debi. My company is based in Wadebridge in North Cornwall. We find ourselves in a similar situation. Our site was built with some fundamental errors that prevent us from editing it in Dreamweaver. I need someone to 'unpick' the site and put it back together again so that we can maintain it more easily.

If anyone would like to take a look and contact me to discuss what could be done and for how much I would be very interested to talk to them.

        Our site is http://www.schoolscapes.co.uk/

It is heavily customised and we have had to switch off virtually all Actinic functionality because of the problems we are experiencing.

Debi, perhaps we should 'compare notes'?

Its trying to load but hanging as if the page is a large file size. Maybe someone else can check it?

Hmm.. I'd appreciate it if other people could try to access the site so we can test this problem out:

Maybe we've got more problems than we thought!

We're with Heart Internet and it hasn't exactly been problem free although it's usually the mailserver that plays up.

                            Looks pretty normal to me?

                              Hi Malcolm,

Would you be interested? We can't get the brochure pages to open in DW from Actinic and if you open them directly in DW then register with Actinic it changes all of the Brochure pages. Having read various threads I think I know why this happens but I can't get my head around how to sort it.

There are a number of other issues but I have to hit the road now so hopefully will pick this up tomorrow.

                              Many thanks.
