Am i just being my cynical self or is it quite clear that the secret services/government have setup this laptop with the data cd hidden inside, just to say "we've found it". A vague laptop, with a disc inside, purchased off ebay and in for repair at a vague repair shop...............oh please.

The most incredible part about it is that evidently the disc was found hidden under the keyboard - that can only have been done with intent to do so.
You might be able to understand a thief selling a stolen laptop on ebay (especially if they coudn't get into the 'encrypted' machine) but to hide the disc inside?! -
It's the old methods that are best, give the most ridiculous story and it is that stupid, people do not think anyone could concoct such crap. The more ridiculous, the more believable. Who would open up a laptop, hide a secret government disc inside and then ebay it? If the laptop had been stolen and then ebayed, possibly yes, but the odds?Comment
