    Moving Outlook files to another computer

    Any idea how to do this, move emails from one computer to another both with outlook 2000

    Should be as simple as moving the .pst file from the first to the second computer, you can find where this is located by right clicking on Personal folders and going to Properties | Advanced. Then it should just be a case of recreating the e-mail accounts on the second computer. Watch how many e-mails you are storing on your server though or you could end up having to download weeks worth of already dealt with emails!

        I spent a whole day trying to do this, whent on to microsoft web site and found it of little use !!! then came across this http://www.freebits.co.uk/backoutlook.html

        Worked for me

          thunderbird

          if anyone wants to do the same for Thunderbird, there is a neat tool called Mozbackup http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/

          its a 5 sec job.

          install mozbackup on pc1, create a backup file
          install thunderbird on 2nd PC, install mozbackup, and click restore.

          It creates your accounts for you, brings over your emails and extensions.
